Owensboro High School Lockdown Has Been Lifted

Owensboro High School was placed on lockdown earlier today as a safety precaution.

I received a text from a friend asking me why OHS was on lockdown and as a mother of a student there I may have panicked slightly.

So I called myself and went to work to find out why.  After speaking with authorities I found out the school and students were never in any danger.  A suspect was on foot being chased in the area and couldn't be located.  The school did what they felt was best.

The lockdown has been lifted for any parent like me who worries.  Thank you Owensboro Police Department for always working hard to keep everyone safe!
