The WBKR/Window World St. Jude Radiothon continues Friday on WBKR.  And our friends at the Owensboro Symphony Orchestra have jumped on board to help support the mission.  Maestro Troy Quinn is joining us Friday morning at 9am.  He'll be our special guest that hour in the Celebrity Phone Bank.  In addition to helping us share stories from St. Jude, he's bringing along an amazing incentive to help us raise money for the cause.  Anyone who becomes a St. Jude Partner-in-Hope between 9am-10am CST Friday morning, will receive a complimentary pair of tickets to see Broadway star Linda Eder with the Owensboro Symphony Orchestra on Saturday, February 9th.

Trust me on this.  This is a MUST see.  Broadway star Linda Eder is coming to town to join the Owensboro Symphony Orchestra for Songs from the Stage and Screen.  The concert is set for Saturday, February 9th, 2019 at 7pm at the RiverPark Center downtown.

I have been a fan of Linda Eder since the 90's.  I saw her for the first time in a touring company of the musical Jekyll & Hyde.  I saw the show before it ever hit Broadway, where she earned Drama Desk and Outer Critics Circle Award nominations by the way.  Her voice is insane!  It's beautiful and powerful and, trust me, she will give you chills.  I saw her in New York City a couple of times and I won't lie.  I blubbered like a fool.

Take a listen!  Here she is singing "Someone Like You" from Jekyll & Hyde.

See what I mean??  Check this out!

Or this!  Here's she is belting out "Man of La Mancha!"

To become a St. Jude Partner-in-Hope you're asked to call 1-800-201-8883.  It's just $20 a month for 12 months on a credit/debit card.  You can also text WBKR to 626262.  And,remember, if you become a Partner between 9am and 10am CST on Friday, February 8th, you'll receive two complimentary tickets to see Linda Eder with the Owensboro Symphony Orchestra.
