Owensboro's Cathy Mullins recently crossed an amazing milestone.  She performed her 100th "Star-Spangled Banner."  And she's about to sing the National Anthem again.  In fact, she has the amazing opportunity to perform it at a special event in Washington D.C.

Next Friday, Cathy will be singing the National Anthem at Toast to Our Troops.    The event "will be highlighted" by a dinner prepared by Chef Robert Irvine, who is widely known for his support of our armed forces.  The featured speaker at the event will be General James C. McConville, Vice Chief of Staff of the U.S. Army.

Here's a sneak peek at the event.

For Mullins, it's another chance to sing what has become her staple song.  To date, she has performed the "Star Spangled Banner" at 20 Nashville Predators games, 16 other sporting events, 37 military-related events and 27 community events.

Friday night, she is going to light up the night at Toast to Our Troops at the Ronald Reagan Building and International Trade Center in Washington, D.C.
