Parton Issues 'Jolene Challenge' Ahead of 'Heartstrings' Release

46 years ago, Dolly Parton released what would become one of her signature songs, "Jolene". This song and seven others will be the subjects of a new anthology series, Heartstrings, premiering this Friday (11/22) on Netflix. Parton is now wanting your take on her classic tale of a lover scorned. #JoleneChallenge

Julianne Hough, who stars in the "Jolene" episode made the announcement with Dolly's help on Twitter.

The series' other song episodes include: "These Old Bones", "If I Had Wings", "JJ Sneed", "Two Doors Down", "Down from Dover", "Sugar Hill", and "Cracker Jack".

Parton is one of the series' executive producers.
