Remembering Lane Goodwin: WBKR’s Thumbs Up Tribute [Video]
Here at WBKR, we are spending the next two days trying to strike out childhood cancer. And every time we have our St. Jude Radiothon, we are always reminded of and inspired by Lane Goodwin, the young McLean County, Kentucky boy who, for many folks in the tristate, became THE face of childhood cancer. We all remember putting our "Thumbs Up" and joining Lane in his fight against the monster. Today, that fight continues here at WBKR. And we're honoring Lane and asking you to put YOUR thumbs up. We have work to do so that "no child should die in the dawn of life."
Please join us and St. Jude Children's Research Hospital in the fight against the "monster." Call 1-800-201-8883 now to become a St. Jude Partner-in-Hope. It's just $20 a month for 12 months on a credit or debit card. You can also text WBKR to 785833. Once you text WBKR to that number, you'll get a link to follow in order to make your donation and become a Partner-in-Hope.
And, remember, everyone who becomes a St. Jude Partner this year gets one of these amazing new t-shirts . . .
We're rallying the troops the next two days to battle the "monster." St. Jude founder Danny Thomas said it best, "No child should die in the dawn of life."
