Yes! Death Row Dog Graduates Available for Adoption

Meet Reese, Rocket, Daisy, Sylvia, Puck, Willie, and Stark, the newest graduates of the SparKy Death Row Dogs Program. They are so cute and in July they'll be up for adoption!

These precious pups will graduate in July from the Death Row Dogs training program at Green River Correctional Complex and don’t have adoption commitments yet. So, if you're looking to adopt, please consider one of these trained dogs. They've worked really hard to get ready to come to your home to love you and your family. They promise years of commitment, kisses, love and they'll be your best friend for life!

About the Death Row Dogs Program (DRD)

Green River Correctional Complex (GRCC) is the proud home of the Death Row Dog Program (DRD). This name was initially given to the program, due to giving these dogs a second chance for a new life. DRD has been up and running since 2004. The program started with 24 dogs in each class. Over the years, the number has decreased and there are now 12 dogs per class. The dogs in the program are housed with two inmate trainers who are responsible for their needs and training for the 12-week program.

For your application to be considered, you must:

Be 21 years of age or older.

(Ages 18 -21 are considered on a case-to-case basis.)

Have identification showing your current address
Have the knowledge and consent of your landlord (if applicable)
Be able and willing to spend the time necessary to provide proper care for the animal
Be able and willing to take the animal to the vet for routine and emergency vet care
