I'd say this has been the season of road work in Owensboro and Western Kentucky, except that it's been going on for multiple seasons.

Moving out to the bypass, we find environmental clean-up work beginning Tuesday, July 3rd and this will require the closure of the northbound ramp of the Natcher Parkway to the westbound bypass.

The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet reports that the ramp will close at 7AM so that workers can clean up what's left from a recent semi crash. That work is expected to finish some time during the day Tuesday.

During this ramp closure, the KYTC recommends detouring by taking the northbound Natcher Parkway ramp to the eastbound bypass and then looping through the Highway 54 interchange to connect to the westbound bypass.

It's been a REALLY busy time on Tamarack Road in Owensboro and that will continue Thursday when crews close the eastbound lane of Tamarack at Buckland Square. Weather willing, this work should last through Friday.

But on Monday, it will begin again and last through Wednesday, once again, as long as there aren't any weather-related delays.
