Who is the most famous dog of all time? An argument could certainly be made for a dog like Toto, Lassie, or maybe even Pluto. My vote, however, has to go to that crime-solving, ghost-chasing, munchie-loving Great Dane called Scooby-Doo. I would even say that the duo of Scooby and his best pal Shaggy is one of the most famous in film/TV history.

The legendary Casey Kasem was the original voice of Shaggy, starting way back in 1969, but for the last 20 years, Matthew Lillard has been the face and voice of the perpetual scaredy cat. Lillard first took on the role in the 2002 Scooby-Doo movie, and he has played Norville "Shaggy" Rogers over 130 times since. Despite being a part of a wide variety of movies and TV shows (Scream, Summer Catch, Without a Paddle), the role of Shaggy is what Lillard is most associated with.

I saw a familiar, but unexpected face while I was mindlessly scrolling through TikTok the other night. It was the face of Matthew Lillard, but it wasn't a Matthew Lillard account - he showed up on the account for the Children's Museum of Indianapolis. Lillard paid a visit to the museum to check out its new Scooby-Doo Mansion Mayhem exhibit.

The first clip shows Lillard doing what any good detective does - following the clues that lead him to the exhibit.

The next clip cracks me up. Lillard discovers the Mystery Machine and takes giddy pleasure in calling out his Mystery, Inc teammate Fred.

And finally, the museum has a little fun with the "real life" Shaggy, the animated Shaggy, and Weird Al.

The new Scooby-Doo Mansion Mayhem exhibit just opened in June and will remain at the Children's Museum of Indianapolis through January 22, 2023. The mayhem involves a ghost on the run from the law after stealing some jewels - and he's hiding out in a spooky mansion. It's up to you and the rest of the meddling kids to solve the mystery in this immersive exhibit. The best part of it all is the fact that this exhibit is included with museum general admission.
