Brave Enough? The World’s Tallest & Fastest Swing Is 105-Foot Tall and Swings at 68 MPH!
Fun fact. I used to live about five minutes from SeaWorld in San Diego, California. I could literally walk outside of my townhouse, stroll about fifty feet to our "greenbelt" space, look down the canyon to my right and stare down at the park. It was pretty awesome living that close to one of the most popular attractions in San Diego County. I had the chance to visit a couple of times. There were some fun rides there, but my absolute favorite part of SeaWorld at the time was the show with the walrus. It was HILARIOUS!!
Of course, this was back in the mid 90s. And, while SeaWorld San Diego had some cool rides then, it didn't have anything like this. Monday, a fellow park. SeaWorld in San Antonio, Texas held a news conference to announce a brand new attraction for 2022. It's called Tidal Surge. When it opens, it will be the World's Tallest and Fastest Screamin' Swing.
Check out the big announcement! This ride looks INCREDIBLE!
You gotta love SeaWorld, right? I love how they put the size and scope of this ride in terms of aquatic animals. You heard the guy. The ride is going to be "the length of a Blue Whale or the length of five of their biggest Orcas placed next to each other." Now, I'm not sure about you, but that sounds huge and epic and I am here for the "journey into the clouds!"
Tidal Surge will swing 40 riders at a time and promises they'll have multiple "airtime" and negative g-force moments.
So, what do you think? Would you ride Tidal Surge?
