Sgt Adam Johnston Visits Jacob at Puzzle Pieces [VIDEO]

Sweet Jacob, who is 8 years-old with autism, got a special visit today from Owensboro Police Sgt Adam Johnston. What happened next will melt your heart!

Sometimes when you're having a stressful day, you just need a little of THIS. It was a long day today at work, and I was getting ready to head home to relax with my pups. And, then I see this on Facebook. I thought it might make your day brighter too!  Thanks to Amanda Owen with Puzzle Pieces, for making something so special happen for this young man!

Here's what Amanda wrote about this beautiful encounter:

"If this doesn’t melt your heart not sure what will. Jacob who is 8 years old with autism, gets a surprise visit from our local hero, Sgt Adam Johnston, with Owensboro Police Department while at Puzzle Pieces. Jacob’s mom posted a picture of Jacob with his police officer badge stating how he loves police badges. So I arranged for my good friend to stop by in uniform, and of course Adam made Jacobs day super special. The visit was heartwarming and exciting for Jacob. We didn’t plan for this response. He loved the special badges, he studied his uniform, he mimicked Adam in all that he did. They quickly formed a bond around spinning, that Jacob loves to do. It’s these moments that could slowly prepare someone with autism for when they might have to encounter a police officer, in a different setting. These little moments could have a huge impact. It was a special moment and just reminds us how the simplest acts of kindness and awareness can impact someone’s life."

Just look at Jacob's adorable face! You can tell he was SO excited to see Sgt Adam Johnston at Puzzle Pieces. What a special moment for this young man.
