As phases for reopening the Commonwealth expanded the breadth Kentuckians' activities, the crowd size expanded to 50.

But in his Monday afternoon address, Governor Andy Beshear rolled back that number meaning there can now be gatherings of no more than 10 people.

This comes in the wake of Sunday's report of 979 new cases of COVID-19--the largest single-day increase Kentucky has seen since the beginning of the pandemic.

The advisory recommends a self-quarantine for anyone who travels to any of the eight states that have experienced a COVID-19 positivity rate of 15% or higher. Those states are Alabama, Arizona, Florida, Georgia, Idaho, Nevada, South Carolina and Texas.

It was on June 29th when social, non-commercial gatherings of 50 or fewer people were once again permitted. The reduction to 10 or fewer--a renewed guideline that does not apply to weddings, restaurants, retail or other public venues--goes into effect at 5PM, Monday, July 20th, 2020.
