Sorgho to host Preschool Open House

Sorgho Elementary School is hosting a Preschool Open House at 5:30 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 9. The school is located at 5390 Kentucky 56. 

Sorgho is accepting applications for children who will be age 3 or 4 by Oct. 1.

 “Our preschool program offers an excellent setting in which children can learn,” said SES Principal Beverly Dawson. “Preschool is a wonderful stepping stone that helps prepare children both academically and socially for entry into kindergarten.” 

Preschoolers are taught kindergarten readiness skills and participate in pull-out programs such as music, library, guidance and physical education.    

Parents/guardians who are interested enrolling their children in the preschool program next year are encouraged to attend this open house, which will provide information about the program, developmental milestones, and how children may qualify for free preschool.
