T-Ball Registration Underway at Owensboro Parks and Recreation

Do you think you're the parent of a future World Series champion?  Or do you have a little one who's been asking to play T-ball?  Owensboro Parks and Recreation Department is NOW taking registrations for its annual summer T-ball league.

The league begins in May and runs through July 14. All games will be played at the Owensboro Softball Complex located in Jack C. Fisher Park. The 3-4 year old league will play on Mondays or Tuesdays evenings. The 5-6 year old league will play on Thursday evenings. Game times will be at 5:45 p.m. or 6:50 p.m. for each league and will vary each week.

And Owensboro Parks and Rec's league is instructional.  Players in the 3-6-year-old league will learn the fundamentals of the game: how to bat off the tee, throw, catch, and field a ball and engage in team sportsmanship.

The registration fee is $56 per child. And Owensboro Parks and Rec's offering a "Sibling Discount" of $10 per child per for each additional sibling registered after the first child (residing in the same household). **This discount is not applicable to scholarship campers.

The deadline to register is March 31.  Each child will receive a team T-shirt and hat.
