DanceBlue is a 24 hour no sitting, no sleeping dance marathon that was started at the University of Kentucky that benefits the Golden Matrix Fund which works to support cancer research at the Markey Cancer Center and social support at DanceBlue Kentucky Children’s Hospital Pediatric Hematology/Oncology Clinic.

A  big congratulations to Apollo High School's Theatre Department.  Over the weekend, they competed at the Kentucky Theatre Association High School Play Festival.  And they captured a variety of awards!

Apollo High School will have a new principal when students return to class next week.

You always hear about high school basketball, football and soccer, but this sport deserves love to. Especially if you're Daviess County High School and 2nd in the nation this week.

Wednesday night was an incredible night at Buffalo Wild Wings at Towne Square North in Owensboro.  The restaurant unveiled a brand new, permanent fixture just above the main entrance.  The restaurant is displaying the Apollo Eagles football jersey of Taylor Widmer, a local high school student who was tragically killed in a car accident last August.  Here's video of the official dedication that too

Today on the CB Radio Show we received a call from Kahlan Storm, an FFA Member at Apollo High School.  The Kentucky Soybean Association is having a Soybean Photo Contest and Kahlan's chapter of the FFA could win some cash.  In fact, the grand prize is $1,000!  Here's how you can vote and help them win.

Hunter Bivin, a senior football player from Apollo High School was presented his honorary game jersey at the American Family Insurance Selection Tour for the 2013 Under Armour All-America High School Football Game at Apollo High School last week.  The event was part of the three-month American Family Insurance Selection Tour for the Under Armour All-America Game.

It is rare when the Media produces stories about the good works today's students perform. We tend to hear about the 2% that are involved with drinking,drugs, or some others offense. Apollo High School has announced that Dan Crume has been selected to serve Apollo High School as head football coach.  Crume, who teaches social studies at AHS, is currently the defensive coordinator for the Kentucky Wesleyan College football team, where his responsibilities include coordinating defensive strategies and defensive coaching personnel, in addition to recruiting players and staff...
