The benefit yard sale, in memory of Dalton "Nanner" Nantz, was a big success over Labor Day weekend. Because so many gave, the Nantz family presented a check totaling $2,300 to help area children this holiday season.

This morning during Rooster Booster, the City of Owensboro made a BIG announcement. Outdoor ice-skating is coming back to downtown Owensboro this winter. Because of various partnerships, this won't cost tax payers a thing!

The Nantz family will be hosting a community yard sale this weekend to benefit Christmas Wish. Dalton Nantz, was a military veteran and humanitarian who passed away in January of 2018. "Nanner" was a huge supporter of Christmas Wish, so the family wanted to honor his memory, in a very special way. Many people from all over the community have already dropped off items for the event.

The Kentucky Public Service Commission has ordered for-profit utilities to track their savings under lower corporate tax rates that go into effect on Monday, January 1st. This means these savings will passed onto customers in the form of lower electric, gas, or water rates.

With August 11 almost here, Atmos Energy hopes this date on the calendar, 8/11, will serve as a natural reminder for residents to call 811 prior to any digging project to have underground utility lines marked. This comes on the heels of a recent report which determined an underground utility line is damaged during digging projects every three minutes nationwide.
