Winter Weather

We're already off to a chilly and snowy start it seems.  Here in the tristate we have already been treated to our first dose of winter weather.  We are experiencing abnormally low temperatures and we've even had our first bout with sleet and snow.  But what can we expect for the rest of the 2014-2015 winter season?  Check out this video from the National Weather Service.  It explains.

CLOSINGS AND DELAYS FOR FEBRUARY 11TH, 2014

It could happen.  The National Weather Service has issued a Severe Weather Statement suggesting the region could see ice and snow later this week.  The data is preliminary, but it appears that a winter weather system is taking shape and heading our way.  Here are the full details . . .

Well it looks like a white Christmas may be out of the question this year. However, you never know what the weather will hold. We could even see snow in the next few days! Keith Todd with the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet attended a Winter Weather Workshop presented by the National Weather Service office in Paducah. His report below give us insight to what is expected for the winter months as well as where we stand now compared to last year.
