Years ago, Dave Spencer and I had a movie review show called The Screening Room.  The showed aired for ten years and we spent that time reviewing nearly every movie released to theatres.  For me, it was very difficult for most movies to contend with the sweeping pageantry, storytelling, drama and special effects of Peter Jackson's The Lord of the Rings trilogy.  For me, movies just don't get much better than that and each installment ended up in my Top Ten list in the year it was released.  I still firmly believe that those three movies are among the best ever made.

I have shared this before.  I rarely see movies twice.  In fact, there are very few movies I would ever even consider watching for a second time.  However, I have seen every Lord of the Rings movie multiple times.  I. Love. These. Films.  And, I am happy to report that they're making a return to the big screen and they're going to be shown here in town at Malco's Owensboro Cineme Grill and MXT.
