The Times (and Advertising) are A Changin

Bob Dylan sang about it almost 50 years ago. The times are changing. They certainly are in many ways.

A friend of mine recently sent me some advertising ads from 30-60 years ago. I laughed so hard it brought tears to my eyes. If those advertisments were to be published today lynch mobs be searching for the business owners and the publishers of the magazines printing them.

Simple words with totally different meanings, lifestyle's that are no longer considered proper or healthy and statements about male/female relationships that could land a person in a courtroom today were all commonplace.

As you view these, sales pitches of yesterday, think back to a time when you would not raise an eyebrow as you read them. Did these REALLY sell products? I think you'll agree the times are not just a changin......the TIMES ALREADY HAVE.

For those with no sense of humor please realize I post these in fun and as a reminder that the things we say today could have an entirely different meaning tomorrow, or next week, or........enjoy.
