‘The Walking Dead’ Co-Author To Headline The Providence Literary Festival
I introduced you this week to my book collection, and now, here's a book festival coming to Providence KY with a really cool special guest.
The Providence Literary Festival will take place Saturday, September 13 from 10am-4pm at the Providence VFW. Over 15 local and regional authors will be on hand to sign copies of their books and manuscripts. Are you a fan of The Walking Dead? Of course I'm referring to the hit AMC series (season 5 begins October 12th!!!), but as you may or may not know, the TV series is based on a series of graphic novels by co-creator and Kentucky native Robert Kirkman. What I didn't know, is that the graphic novels are also available in novel form.
The co-writer of The Walking Dead novel series, Jay Bonansinga, will be at the Providence Literary Festival for a Q & A session and he will read from his newest 'Dead' novel, The Walking Dead: Descent a month before its release.
Providence native B. Neil Brown will have copies of his book Stand Tough, "the true life tale of his fight with rare disease and multiple limb loss, and courageous journey to beat the odd and walk again after triple amputations".
Admission is FREE! The Providence Literary Festival is sponsored by the Providence Tourism Commission.
