A dancer turned reality TV star and influencer will be in Owensboro next Thursday. Whitney Way Thore, star of the TLC series My Big Fat Fabulous Life will be visiting Kentucky Wesleyan.

My Big Fat Fabulous Life premiered in January of 2015 with the first episode examining Thore's struggle with weight gain partially due to polycystic ovary syndrome or PCOS. She has always loved dancing and she opened up a dance studio in her hometown of Greensboro, North Carolina called No BS Dance.

Thore founded the No Body Shame campaign in 2014 then videos of her dancing went viral which brought the attention of TLC. Her goal is to inspire and to support everyone who wants to achieve their dreams.

Thore will speak at KWC in the Tapscott Chapel next Thursday night (10/24) at 7:00 p.m. with a meet and greet to follow. Seating will be limited with students given first priority.
