Many people set a goal or resolution when the New Year arrives.  With times evolving a some have gone to choose just one word for the year that helps them focus.  Do you have one?

Angel here and over the past few years I've noticed many of my friends on social media were posting about the "buzz" words or words of the year.

The word is supposed to motivate you and push you towards the goals you have during the coming year.  It helps you set priorities and keep them at the forefront of your mind.

The word I chose for the year is INTENTIONAL.  In case you've never met you, I am all over the place.  I put a lot on my plate and set out to get it all done.  Whether that means helping a friend or volunteering somewhere in the community I want to help.  This can sometimes be overwhelming when you are a doer.  I sometimes fall short even if I have every intention of getting it done.  I also have a tendency to view everyone I know from a distance on social media keeping up with their lives this way and not reaching out for fear of bothering or interrupting their lives.  I am working on messaging or calling friends, family, and even just acquaintances just to ask how I can pray for them, just to say hello, and ask how they're doing, or just to say "I love you".

So, are you ready to choose your buzzword for the year?

Here's how to start;

  • Make a list of things you want to accomplish.
  • See if there are commonalities in your list.
  • Pick a few words that could go with your list.
  • Which of these words motivate you the most.
  • Go an extra step and create a vision board for your word.
