UK’s PJ Washington Will Not Play in NCAA First Round Game
UK's sophomore forward PJ Washington, the Cats' leading scorer and rebounder, has been in a walking boot since sustaining a minor foot injury--a sprain--in Saturday's SEC semi-final game against Tennessee.
As recently as Wednesday, UK coach John Calipari felt Washington would be ready to play against Abilene Christian in the first round of the NCAA Tournament Thursday.
But that was Wednesday. THIS is Thursday:
I'm not sure what the implications of hard cast are in terms of whether or not he'll be ready for Saturday in case UK wins Thursday, but I'm sure we'll find out.
Calipari knows Big Blue Nation will be hanging on every single one of his words on this topic between now and whenever it is no longer a topic.
