WBKR’s Hero of the Month: OPD’s K-9 Officer Raizi

Here at WBKR, we are so pleased to announce our new Hero of the Month.  Of course, this month's award is bittersweet.  We, like many of you, were moved by the passing of  K-9 Officer Raizi, who proudly served the Owensboro Police Department for almost 10 years.

We learned of Raizi's passing a few days ago and shared his story here at WBKR.  We have reached out to Officer Chris Watkins to let him know that it's our absolute privilege to name Raizi our Hero the Month. Thank you for your service Raizi and for keeping this community safe.

Your work on Earth is done. Rest easy sweet pup.
