Saturday evening my best friend Rob got married to his love, Amber.  What a wonderful wedding it was.  The leaves rustled, the wind blew, the river flowed and the sun shined.

I was 3rd in line behind the groom and it was my job to get the Grandparents and Parents down the aisle to be seated.  I think I achieved an A+.  Once everyone was seated the wedding party was brought in and everything got started.  Vows were exchanged, the rings were presented and everything was perfect.  We walked back out as Rob and Amber stepped into the horse drawn carriage that took them for their first ride as a married couple.  More on that in a minute.

We arrived at the reception and the party got started.  The "head table conversation" began with.  "How much more could go wrong?"  I thought WHAT!!  Everything went great.  We are all here, everyone is happy and it looks perfect.  Back to the carriage ride- apparently after I left to head to the reception something malfunctioned with the trailer hitch that held the horses to the carriage.  It broke free, rolled down the street and smashed into the photographers car.  Whoops!

That got ironed out and the festivities began.  Of course the flower toss followed by the garter toss went on as tradition has it.  All the single ladies lined up and Margaret caught the flowers.  I thought it was hilarious how she fought for those flowers.

So its my turn now.  The single men stepped up to the plate, just as the Red Sox were losing game 3, also I didn't get to see any of the Buckeyes game but the presence of love was much better.  Anyway we were all standing there and Rob fakes us out on the first throw,  I have a child in front of me and he was wanting that garter.  It gets tossed back finally, it hits the floor and i had to Jackie Chan my way though a little kid to get my way (Sorry Laven).  Success.  Margaret and I, by tradition, are supposed to get married next.  Let's see how it goes.  My buddy Nate is getting married in December so I would have to get married in less than 2 months to be next.  That's a stretch.
