Ghost Stories

Who doesn't love a good ghost story? Something about the darkness outside, and hearing a spooky tale that sends shivers down your spine is just the perfect addition to a nice night. I remember as a kid my friends and I would tell some ghost tales (that we probably made up, or heard somewhere) and would scare the crap out of each other. Ever since then, I've always loved learning about the creepier things, and I'm fascinated with the haunted history of places.

Haunted New Harmony

Haunted New Harmony is a New Harmony-based business that explores New Harmony, Indiana's spooky past. They offer ghost walks around town and even paranormal investigations. Coming up in March, they'll be hosting another paranormal investigation of a notoriously haunted New Harmony location!

New Harmony's Orchard House Paranormal Investigation

The Orchard House in New Harmony was built in 1860, according to Visit New Harmony, the Orchard House now serves as one of the New Harmony Inn's guest houses. This location is rumored to be haunted, and there have been several people who have stories of seeing eerie things at the Orchard House.

Here is what Haunted New Harmony has to say about the investigation coming up on March 4th, 2023:

We decided to surprise you and have set up another investigation! Join us as we investigate the Orchard House. This house was built in 1860 and has a long history of being haunted. Guests have seen a full body apparition on the staircase and have witnessed footsteps in empty rooms. During one of our ghost walks, one of our guests saw a woman who was dressed in 1800's period clothing scowling at us through one of the windows. We have also worked out a great deal with the New Harmony Inn. If you wish to spend the night in New Harmony following the investigation for $84 (taxes included), email Joni at Jonimayhan@gmail.com.
