5-Year-Old Performs Kindergarten Concert in Sign Language for Deaf Parents [VIDEO]

Perhaps the week's biggest controversy was allowing a potentially dangerous man to interpret for the deaf during Nelson Mandela's memorial service...without knowing any sign language.

I have a better suggestion. It's too late, but it's still better.

They should've hired 5-year-old Claire Koch, who recently interpreted her kindergarten class's Christmas concert for her deaf parents. Claire's mother can read lips, but her father communicates solely by use of sign language.

And there's this little 5-year-old interpreting songs like "Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer" and the lesser-known--actually, I've never heard of it--"Santa Was His Name-O" just signing away like she'd been doing it for 30 years.

This little girl has a remarkable future ahead of her.
