Katie Pickens graduated from Western Kentucky University with a bachelor's degree in English with a focus in creative writing. She covered everything from politics to economic development to crime as a reporter at the Owensboro Times and currently resides as the director of visitor services at Visit Owensboro. Katie loves traveling, spending time in the garden, and Googling things she's curious about into the late hours of the night. She and her husband, Zach, love raising their son, Lincoln, and two cats in Owensboro.
