Brescia Sets Record for Full-Time Incoming Freshman Class

The week of honors for local colleges continues with this news from Brescia University. They have set a record!

The college has its largest incoming freshman class ever. New full-time students from 14 states, Puerto Rico, and nine other countries make up the 231 freshmen. Not since 1977, has Brescia had a freshman class this large. The old record was 199.

The college as a whole has 1,037 students currently enrolled and that makes the fifth consecutive year enrollment has exceeded a thousand.

And naturally, on-campus resident numbers have increased which has necessitated students moving to adjacent rental properties. Total resident population stands at 323.
