There is a unique outdoor concert venue in Illinois that has a one-of-a-kind policy... fans are allowed to bring in their own food and booze.

The Whole Concert Experience Will Empty Your Wallet Quickly

Every summer, there's a whole list of concerts I want to see. Unfortunately, it just isn't possible to check them all out for two main reasons... time and money. I would actually put the lack of cash as the number one factor.

Obviously, the tickets for the show are pricey but that's just the beginning. How about getting there... gas and parking? If you want to have fun, then you're going to want some "adult" drinks and food. Maybe merch from your favorite band? It adds up quickly.

Going To A Concert On A Budget

You could always try going to a concert on a budget. Go for the less expensive tickets, hopefully, they have big screens so you can at least see the stage. Carpool to the show with a few friends. Eat before you leave. Don't drink any beer. Wait and buy a shirt off the band's website after the tour because they'll probably be cheaper. That kind of sucks.

Popular Illinois Outdoor Concert Venue Helps You Save Money

If you've never heard of Ravinia in Highland Park, Illinois, I highly suggest you check it out.

According to ravinia.org,

Ravinia, North America's oldest music festival, stands today as its most musically diverse, presenting over 140 different events throughout the summer.

The 36-acre park is nestled in a gently wooded area that makes it an enchanting place to experience music.

Guests can bring their own picnics or eat at one of the park restaurants.

There is a huge lawn, those are the more affordable tickets. It features an amazing sound system. Plus, you can bring chairs, tables, and blankets to spread out in your area.

Oh yeah, this is huge. You can bring in your own food and beverage. That includes booze. Now, talk about saving money. I don't know of another outdoor concert venue anywhere in the country where you can bring in your own alcohol. That is really cool.
