What an exciting two days we had here at WBKR.  Our annual St. Jude Radiothon set an all-time fundraising record of $265,324.  On Friday afternoon, we were joined by the National Honor Society students from East Heights Elementary in Henderson.

Led by our friend, Jill Conrad (who power-dipped pretzels in chocolate to fill over 600 orders), the students raised a whopping $1012 for the kids of St. Jude!

In order to be in the school's National Honor Society, students at East Heights must maintain incredibly good grades and must commit to a variety of service projects each school year.  We are so thankful they have chose St. Jude as one of those service projects.

By the way, their goal this year was $500.  As you can see, they absolutely smashed it.  They were joined in studio yesterday by various parents, who beamed with pride as the students made their on-air donation.

Congratulations and THANK YOU to the students of East Heights.  We are so impressed by what you accomplished this year and cannot wait to see what you do in 2021!
