To celebrate the 10th anniversary of their work with the annual WBKR/Window World St. Jude Radiothon, Emily and Mark Shelton (of Whitesville, Kentucky) have decided to GO BIG for 2021.  As a matter of fact, they always go big and this is usually how the decision is made.  Emily will throw out a goal.  Mark will tell her she's crazy and there's no way it'll happen.  Emily sticks to her guns and they somehow, miraculously, shoot that goal down out of the sky.  This year, even in the thick of the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, they're doing it again.

Their goal for 2021?   A whopping 200 St. Jude Partners-in-Hope in just one hour.  But here's the deal.  As ambitious as it seems, that goal is not completely out of the realm of possibility.  Last year, Emily and Mark set a goal of 175 Partners in Hope and, you guessed it!  They got it.  They snagged 175 Partners and then got an extra boost when Ernie Davis, Jr. (whom Mark works for) donated another $6000!  In doing so, the Shelton's grand total swelled to over $48,000 for St. Jude in ONE HOUR!  It was absolutely remarkable and they're determined to do it again.

Emily and Mark have wrangled some additional help.  They'll again be supported by their friend Lonnie Nave, from Lonnie Nave's Service Company.  He is sponsoring their hour and will be cheering them to victory too.

To become a St. Jude Partner-in-Hope, call 1-800-201-8883.  The phone lines will be open from 6am, Thursday, February 6th through 7pm, Friday, February 7th here at WBKR.  To become a St. Jude Partner, simply pledge $19 a month for 12 months on a debit or credit card.  This is the first time in the history of the WBKR St. Jude Radiothon that you can join the St. Jude family and mission for less than $20 a month.  And we (and the Sheltons) are hoping that you do.

You can also text HOPE to 626262.  If you do, you'll receive the brand new St. Jude WE WON'T STOP t-shirt.
