For years, Gavin Howard and his family have been supporting the incredible work of St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.  Since the very first time Gavin appeared on the WBKR St. Jude Radiothon, the family has been fully committed to raising money for St. Jude to help fight childhood cancer.  And they have been a force to be reckoned with.  Thus far, they've helped raise in excess of $40,000 and they've done so by selling new St. Jude-inspired t-shirts every year and rallying the kids at St. Mary of the Woods and Trinity High School behind the fundraising cause as well.

Well, this year, they've created a brand new event that combines the mission of St. Jude with music.  The Howard family just announced plans for a new concert fundraiser called Jammin' for St. Jude. There's no doubt it's going to be a magical, inspirational and amazing night of music and mission.

Jammin' for St. Jude is set for Saturday, November 20th at 5pm at Lanham Family Farms in Philpot, Kentucky.  The address is 8905 Short Station Road.

The event will feature live music from a variety of artists.  So far, that list includes Emily and Mark Shelton (who are legendary St. Jude supporters in their own right), the Oklahoma Hunnies, Dakota Hayden, Parker McManaway, the Janitors and, of course, Gavin Howard.

Plus, some limited edition "Gavin Howard Wear" t-shirts will be available at the event as well.  In fact, there will be two different designs.

#1- HEAL CANCER

The cost of each shirt is $15.

There's an official Jammin for St. Jude event page on Facebook and you can follow it by CLICKING HERE.  Jenny Howard, Gavin's mom, promises more and more updates about the event, the musicians participating and great raffle items that will be up for grabs.  And, of course, ALL the proceeds will benefit Gavin Howard's WBKR St. Jude Radiothon donation.

Gavin joined Angel and me on the WBKR morning show to chat about additional plans for the event.

The annual WBKR St. Jude Raditohon occurs each February here on The Country Station, 92.5 WBKR.
