Family Circle Magazine Shutting Down Operations

Family Circle Magazine has announced that it will be closing down operations.  The last issue will be in December.

The magazine has been on the shelves and in the hands of its readers for almost 90 years.

According to 14news;

Its parent company Meredith, boasts 13 million readers and more than one million followers on social media.

The company has not said why it's shutting down the publication.

Meredith laid off 70 employees Wednesday, including about 25 staffers from Family Circle. Meredith says some of the leadership from the publication will take on new roles with other brands.

I remember my mom reading these when I was just a kid.  I loved looking at all the recipes and we would always pick different ones to make together.  This is the end of an era.
