Former Owensboro Mayor Tom Watson Running Again

Former Owensboro mayor Tom Watson who, in 2008, declined to run for a second term, has effectively rescinded that decision and will make a bid for mayor once again.

The Owensboro Messenger-Inquirer is reporting that Watson will be seeking a second term.

Last week, current mayor, Ron Payne, made the surprise announcement that he would be retiring leaving many if not most Owensboroans who would then run for the office.

Wonder no more.

Former Mayor Watson has just tossed his hat into the ring.
