In the Ohio Valley, as they say (and they're very nearly correct), if you don't like the weather, wait five minutes.

Well...how about a week and a half.

Last week, we broke the bank, in terms of record high October temperatures, when we soared into the upper 90s to kick off the month.

Fast forward 10 days or so, and we're looking at a frost advisory for the region.

URGENT - WEATHER MESSAGE
National Weather Service Paducah KY
228 PM CDT Fri Oct 11 2019

...Frost is possible late tonight...

.In the wake of a strong cold front, much cooler air will
spread across the region tonight. High pressure should be
over the area early Saturday morning. With lows anticipated
to be in the lower to mid 30s, and winds relaxing and becoming
light due to the high pressure system, frost may form tonight.
We are about two weeks ahead of when the normal first frost
of the season is. Frost will be most likely in outlying and
sheltered areas. Some areas may see little or no frost. It
should burn off quickly early Saturday morning, shortly after the
sun is up.
