‘Game of Thrones’ Gets the Honest Trailers Treament
We've seen them take on the likes of TV before with 'The Walking Dead' and 'Breaking Bad,' but now Screen Junkies and the minds behind "Honest Trailers" have put their attention to HBO's 'Game of Thrones' in advance of Sunday's season 4 premiere. Does it hit the nail on the head? Major spoilers, be warned!
Though the trailer only spoils so much in the way of actual story outside of the major deaths, the latest from Screen Junkies harps on the 'Game of Thrones' hallmarks, from characters whose names we can't be bothered with remembering, to the absurd amounts of nudity breaking up the various monologues. If anything, at least one point proves exceptionally resonant: never have any association with Sean Bean in any work of fiction.
In the meantime, there’s always more clips, photos, trailers and teases for the April 6 premiere, while HBO has cast in known roles Joel Fry as Hizdahr zo Loraq, Roger Ashton-Griffiths as Mace Tyrell, Pedro Pascal as Prince Oberyn Martell, Indira Varma as Oberyn’s lover Ellaria Sand, Yuri Kolokolnikov as Styr, Magnar of Thenn, and ‘Sherlock’ star Mark Gatiss as Tycho Nestoris. ‘Treme”s Michiel Huisman will replace Ed Skrein as Daario Naharis, and Hafthor Julius Bjornsson will take over the role of Gregor “The Mountain” Clegane from Ian Whyte, among other recastings.
While we wait for Sunday's big premiere, check out the 'Game of Thrones' Honest Trailer above, and tell us what you want to see from season 4 in the comments!
