'Game of Thrones' season 4 will arrive soon enough by its April 6 premiere, but this year we won't have to wait until episode 9 for one of the biggest episodes of the season: the Royal Wedding! New photos of the nuptials between Joffrey and Margaery have emerged, along with a host of new behind-the-scenes featurettes exploring production of the so-called "Purple Wedding," and the major new additions of season 4.
In addition to a host of new Entertainment Weekly photos from 'Game of Thrones' season 4 to preview the royal wedding and beyond, HBO has released several new production featurettes detailing the extensive shoots required to bring to life the biggest season yet of George R.R. Martin's adapted works. Not only do we go inside the wedding's lavish design, but also costumes, weapons training, and even the direction behind 'Game of Thrones' season 4.
In the meantime, there’s always more clips, photos, trailers and teases for the April 6 premiere, while HBO has cast in known roles Joel Fry as Hizdahr zo Loraq, Roger Ashton-Griffiths as Mace Tyrell, Pedro Pascal as Prince Oberyn Martell, Indira Varma as Oberyn’s lover Ellaria Sand, Yuri Kolokolnikov as Styr, Magnar of Thenn, and ‘Sherlock’ star Mark Gatiss as Tycho Nestoris. ‘Treme”s Michiel Huisman will replace Ed Skrein as Daario Naharis, and Hafthor Julius Bjornsson will take over the role of Gregor “The Mountain” Clegane from Ian Whyte, among other recastings.
