My friend Danny Hinton has been teaching and ministering to the deaf community for several years. He is the Pastor of Preaching and Vision at Gospel Community Church.

While Gospel Community Church isn't exclusively for the deaf and hard of hearing--all are welcome--the ministry for a surprisingly underserved segment of our community makes it a unique one.

However, the church currently is holding services in an old building on 9th Street and the parishioners are in need of a building they can call  their church home.

On August 3rd, Gospel Community Church will be hosting a motorcycle charity ride and fundraiser at 1205 W. 9th Street in Owensboro.

The cost is $15 per bike and registration will happen between 8:30 and 9:30AM and it's KICK STANDS UP at 9:45.

A barbecue lunch will be included and there will bouncies for the kids, snow cones, a bike show, an auction and more.

Funds raised will help Gospel Community Church finish a fully handicap accessible building in which the members can meet for services.

Danny said they are also looking for donated items for the auction. If you have such items, please message Danny on his Facebook page.
