How Facebook Scammers Create Fake Accounts

I'm sure I'm not the only who gets friend requests from people who are already among my Facebook friends.

It's never let up, and, in fact, I got one just yesterday from a "friend" who has been ON my friend list for several years.

I had no idea how this was accomplished until I came across this post from the Beulaville, North Carolina Police Department's Facebook page:

Isn't that interesting? It never occurred to me that some of the security questions we answer online when we set up our various accounts could be the same types of questions we might get asked in a Facebook post.

Good Lord, some of those questions are asked when you sign up for ONLINE BANKING!

Scary stuff.
