Huge International Chicken Festival with Music & Vendors Coming To Kentucky

Raise your wing if you love fried chicken!  The World Chicken Festival is coming to Kentucky and bringing a bucket full of fun and festivities.

WHAT IS THE WORLD CHICKEN FESTIVAL?

The festival is four days of breaded and deep-fried fun for folks who visit.  It takes place in London, Kentucky with music, tons of vendors, lots of yummy food, a carnival, and the craziest contests you've ever been a part of.  All the chicken will be cooked in the world's largest stainless-steel skillet.

ENTERTAINMENT

Country Music's Sawyer Brown will be playing at the festival.  Other acts include:

• Hogslop String Band
• Rye Davis
• Ian Noe

• Nicholas Jamerson
• Mountain Heart
• Larkin Poe

There will also be a stage for Gospel and Americana, Folk, and inspirational music.  The festival organizers have thought of everything when it comes to pleasing a crowd.

There will also be a ton of contests and activities that go on through the four-day fest;  the Colonel Sander’s Look-a-Like Contest, Karaoke, Hot Wing Eating Contest, Culinary Chicken Cookoff Challenge, Mother-Daughter Look-a-Like Contest, Struttin, Cluckin, and Crowin’, a Chicken Joke Telling Contest and The Rooster Tail Mullet Contest.

If you're a runner they have a Run for the Roost 5k on Saturday, September 25, at 8 a.m.
