Last October, we celebrated World War II Veteran JT O'Bryan turning 100 years old by sending him birthday cards from the all over.  Late yesterday evening JT passed away peacefully in his home here in Daviess County.

I spoke with JT's granddaughter, Julie Hill, last night.  She told me all about his life.  He lived on HWY 279 in West Louisville and farmed their his whole life.    He was married 67 years.  Father to 8 children, 17 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great-grandchildren.

JT was proceeded in death by his wife Mary Angela (Angela), and his son Tommy O'bryan, who passed at a young age.

I asked Julie if JT had been sick and she told me no he was as strong as an Ox.  He was just ready to go home and be with his wife, Angela.

If you would like to send condolences to JT's family you can bring the cards or letters to the station addressed to him and we will make sure his family receives them.

Thank you so much for serving our country JT.  May you rest peacefully with your bride in Heaven.  GOD BLESS~
