The Food Network has a list of the 30 Craziest Restaurants in America, and to our surprise, 10% of these wild and wacky restaurants are located in Illinois. The three from Illinois that make the list are Jake Melnick's, Chicago Sweatlodge, and Tommy Gun's Garage. So what about them all makes them "Crazy"? Let's break it down...

On the site, they say this about Tommy Gun's Garage...

"This Chicago speakeasy is serving up a 1920s-inspired evening and musical comedy show — with flappers, tap dancers and gangsters — plus a delicious three-course meal. For a true gangster’s entree, diners order Frankie’s Feast. Named after Frankie Yale (one of Al Capone’s original gangsters), it features two 7-ounce pork chops."

As far as Jake Melnick's goes, it is just a terrific Chicago sports bar with one absolutely mental hot-wing challenge...

"the XXX Wings, made with ghost, habanero and Trinidad scorpion peppers"

And finally, and I personally think the craziest of them all, Chicago Sweatlodge, on the site they say...

"There's no reason to sweat the small stuff at the Chicago Sweatlodge, where patrons can take a refreshing dip in the pool after a heated stay in the sauna and before they dig into a meal of warming chicken soup or borscht."

That sounds absolutely mental. To see the full list of the "craziest" restaurants in America just click here!

The iconic (and at times silly) toys, technologies, and electronics have been usurped since their grand entrance, either by advances in technology or breakthroughs in common sense. See how many things on this list trigger childhood memories—and which ones were here and gone so fast you missed them entirely.
