I don't know about you, but whenever I see those sweet adoptable faces on social media, I want to run to the shelter and bring them home. Unfortunately, I have this pesky husband who says, "NO MORE ANIMALS." What a buzzkill he is!

If you are like me and can't bring any more live animals into your home, you can adopt a furry friend this weekend that requires zero maintenance and still help out the live pets at Warrick Humane Society.

Santa will be on hand to take pet photos and while you are there, purchase a teddy bear for a loved one or yourself for only $10. Proceeds benefit WHS.

Friendsgiving

Join us for our annual Friendsgiving event!
From November 21st-November 26th, you can foster a pup from the shelter and break them out for Thanksgiving break!
How does it work?
-Fill out an adoption application at https://warrickhumanesociety.org/adoption/ and under the name of the pet you’re applying for list “Friendsgiving”.
-All other pets in the home must be fixed, up-to-date on vaccines, and must be current on heartworm prevention.
-A staff member will review your application and contact you if approved.
-Staff will help you schedule a time on either Tuesday, the 21st or Wednesday, the 22nd to pick up your pup. We suggest meet-and-greets with other dogs in the home.
-All dogs are first come, first serve.
-Staff will then help you schedule a time to return the dog of your choice on either Friday, Saturday, or Sunday.
-If you fall in love and decide to adopt, you will receive $50 OFF that dog’s adoption fee for being a foster! 🐶
***Dogs 3 months and older apply for this event.***

Vaccine Clinic

Do you have a dog or cat due for vaccines? We are hosting a low-cost vaccination clinic open to the public on Tuesday, November 21st. The clinic is from 9AM -12PM (or later if pets are still being seen). Registration begins at 8AM and ends at 11AM (or earlier if we reach our capacity of 50 pets). Registration is limited to the first 50 dogs or cats, and registration for the clinic is first come, first serve. A registration table will be set up on the porch of our Home Away Pet Spa.
Please expect a potentially long wait, and plan your day accordingly. Bring water and waste pick up bags for your pets and snacks for the humans. We can only see domesticated dogs and cats. No feral animals. For the safety of your pet, all dogs MUST be on a leash and cats MUST be in a carrier.
