Having a new baby is an exciting time. For the Clark family, it was a scary time. Their entire world has been turned upside down, but they still have much to be thankful for, including, a beautiful giving community.

BRENNA JEAN CLARK'S SPINA BIFIDA BATTLE

Brenna Jean Clark made her grand appearance this morning, completing our family of 5. She is 18" long, and 5.11 lbs, with a head full of hair!

Sweet Brenna Jean Clark's battle with Spina Bifida has just begun. She was born on April 17th, 2024 with hope in the air. The hope was that the diagnosis wouldn't be as bad as expected. Brenna came into this world as a fighter. According to Easterseals, Spina bifida is not rare. It occurs in one of every 1,000 children born. Advances in treatment and management have made it possible for children born with spina bifida to live long and productive lives. This is our hope for Brenna. She has a long way to go, but progress is already being made at Cincinnati Children's Hospital Medical Center.

We met with the NP for Brenna and her nurses who have said that she is exceeding expectations for a preterm baby with a diagnosis of spina bifida. I can't say enough about how strong she is, and her will to beat the odds of her condition., Mom Shelby shared two days ago

People across the Daviess and Ohio Counties have been praying and offering support during this difficult time. There's a fundraiser set up to help.
