Catch Reed Timmer’s Tornado Tales In Lexington This September
This Fall, extreme meteorologist Reed Timmer is going to take a break from storm chasing and turn his attention to a Fall Speaking Tour, which includes a stop in here in Kentucky. Yes! He's bringing his 2025 Dominate the Storm Tour to the Commonwealth.
Reed Timmer is one the most recognizable meteorologists and storm chasers in the United States. Originally from Grand Rapids, Michigan, Reed studied meteorology at the University of Oklahoma. A decade ago, he earned his PhD and is now a self-proclaimed (though no one would argue it) 'extreme meteorologist.'
STORM CHASERS ON DISCOVERY
Reed's probably most known for starring in Storm Chasers on the Discovery Channel.
He also appeared in the documentary Tornado Glory.
Now, you're going to have the chance to see Reed Timmer at dozens of locations across Tornado Alley and Dixie Alley. According to Reed's official Facebook page, a number of those locations will have Dominator 3 present.
WHAT IS DOMINATOR 3?
In case you're unfamiliar, this is Dominator 3.
On tour, Reed will be sharing stories of his 'most extreme tornado intercepts and =the scientific data that he and the team collected from inside the storms. He'll also share his forecasting methods and how he's able to seemingly be in the right place at the right time during tornado season.
