You Can Take a ‘Wrong Turn’ on a Haunted Hayride in Western Kentucky
We were playing cards one night and I said, "We've got all these Halloween props, we might as well use 'em."- Sam Fitzgerald 2023
And thus was born the idea for Sam's latest Halloween haunt that is about to open for the season near the Daviess County/Ohio County line. The haunt is called "Wrong Turn: The Haunted Hayride" and Sam, a longtime fan of scaring the crap out of people, promises that it's going to be a bumpy ride.
Sam has a pretty storied history of haunts here in western Kentucky. He's created and hosted all kinds of them. He was the mastermind behind the Panther Creek Haunted Trail, Death on Smith Avenue (in Owensboro), a haunted trail at Whitesville City Park, a similar haunted trail at Vastwood Park and The Warehouse of Terror in Philpot.
Now, Sam is turning his attention to a new kind of attraction.
The new haunt is exactly what is sounds like. It's a diabolically fun hayride that takes a 'Wrong Turn' to hell. Wrong Turn: The Haunted Hayride will celebrate its grand opening night on Friday, September 29th. You can take a hayride Fridays and Saturdays through November 4th. Rides begin at 7pm each night of operation. Tickets are just $15 per person. The price is the same for adults and kids.
Plus, Sam says to keep an eye out on the Wrong Turn Hayrides Facebook page. There will be a series of specials in which discount tickets will be available to select groups like military, veterans, etc.
By the way, if you plan to be brave enough to climb on board a Wrong Turn Hayride, here's what you need to know.
