Kentucky Interior Designer Has Big Plans To Glamp Up Your Indiana Getaway [PHOTOS]
Glamping has become super popular over the past five years. One Kentucky Interior Designer just bought an Indiana camper and she's glamping it up to rent it out.
WHAT IS GLAMPING?
Basically, glamping is for all of us that don't necessarily like to idea of roughing it in a tent and using the restroom out in the open for all of mother nature to see and smell.
Of all the things I have done and places I have stayed glamping is something that is still not checked off the bucket list.
BIG GLAMPING PLANS
Kimberly Hill, of Owensboro, made one of her dreams come true. She bought a camper or 'glamper' as she calls it and plans to renovate and remodel the entire thing to give guests a nostalgic camping experience.
Kim owns Kimberly Hill Painting and Interior Design at Hills Home Improvement. She told me she wants to make it a place where folks can come and just sit back and relax and get away from all the craziness for a while.
I do interior design/ home improvement so I plan on taking it old vintage nostalgia inside and out! Total experience inside and out. I’ll keep it stocked with basics, water, drinks, a bottle of wine for the adults. It can be moved and I can put anything there I want. In the future I’ll look into putting something bigger there. For now I’m going to redo it totally nostalgic/retro inside and out.
Kim says it will take about a few weeks to renovate and get the camper exactly how she wants it for guests. Once it is finished people can rent it for the weekends, 3-day getaways, or a full week's vacation and the rates are really reasonable.
