For the first time since the 2013-2014 season, a season in which they reached the national championship game, the Kentucky Wildcats have fallen out of the AP Top 25 poll

The Cats are currently 14-5 overall and their SEC record is just above .500 at 4-3. Their two straight losses to South Carolina last week, then to Florida at Rupp Arena on Saturday night indicate a change may be coming to Coach John Calipari's offensive set-ups and line-ups. This year's team has been called out as the youngest and most inexperienced in Calipari's tenure. However, fans shouldn't be hitting the panic button yet.

This week, the Cats host Mississippi State Tuesday night (tip 8:00 p.m. on WBKR) and then on Saturday night, they will take a short break from conference play to take on 7th-ranked West Virginia at Morgantown as part of the Big 12/SEC Challenge. The Cats will tip-off against the Mountaineers Saturday at 6:00 p.m. and it can also be heard on WBKR.

Two former Owensboro High School stars, Eli Wright and Aric Holman, currently play for Mississippi State. Holman is the Bulldogs' second-leading scorer with 12.1 points per game.
