Lexington Residents Asked to Bring Furniture Inside in Case, You Know
The good news, Kentucky is in the Sweet 16™, the bad news? No couch is safe in the event they make their first trip to the Final Four™ since 2015.
The University of Kentucky Police is asking residents, especially those on State Street, to move all their furniture inside, especially couches. The department will have additional officers out starting tomorrow night before UK's Midwest Regional Semifinal matchup against Houston. If furniture is not brought inside, it may be removed due to safety concerns.
The Lexington Police Department is also making sure cars be spared the potential raucous celebration by closing down at least twelve streets while enforcing a "no parking" ban from 6:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m. on Friday and Saturday.
By the way, The Country Station 92.5 WBKR will have Kentucky vs. Houston on the air around 9:00 p.m. Friday night. If the Cats win, they will play in the Midwest Regional Final in Kansas City on Sunday.
