As the tristate braces for overnight severe storms, an Owensboro realtor is offering some helpful advice about yard signs.  Sam Ray, who works for Re/Max, says to get them up and put them in storage.

Sam posted this helpful tip on Facebook this evening and we thought we'd share it too.

From Sam: To all of my clients and anyone else who has a real estate sign in your front yard, you may want to remove it and store it in your garage or shed until the morning.  I promise you that your realtor won't be upset that you're saving the neighborhood cars from a flying sign.

And Sam's advice is sound.  These signs don't withstand wind well at all.

As you are likely aware, a Tornado Watch is in effect for the entire WBKR listening area overnight.  The National Weather Service has placed us under a MODERATE risk for severe weather.  Among the overnight threats- damaging winds, hail and tornadoes.
